about this project
TMG The Mortgage Group is a national mortgage brokerage started in British Columbia in 1990. The brand enjoys high recognition in BC but very little recognition in the rest of Canada. This proved to be an impediment to growth across the country particularly in Ontario, earmarked as the main growth focus for company resources. To gain greater brand recognition and a clear picture of who the company is to consumers and brokers, we began a complete rebrand in Fall 2015.
our consultation with TMG determined the following challenges:
- 15 years of creative including signage, digital and print assets would need to be changed.
- Updates would be required to an online resource centre with over 800 pages, five websites, 15 regional offices across Canada and all print and digital assets using only two internal designers and a small IT team for the back-end resource centre and digital assets.
- Very limited budgets
our solution
- The work was organized into specific silos; digital, print, swag and signage using detailed project management outline with assigned tasks and timelines.
- We created a brand booklet and digital, print and collateral pieces for the teams to use.
- We then provided extensive training and implementation sessions for the internal teams.
the results
85% of the work was completed within the first six months of the brand re-launch in early 2016 including digital and print due to our templates and extensive consultation with the team. Signage on new buildings and the corporate website are still undergoing to be finished later this year or in 2018. From regional to national recognition, we breathed new life into this venerable brand.
the challenge:
Encourage brokers and staff across Canada to purchase and use branded materials to promote the rebrand.
the solution:
To ensure that everyone was using the new brand, broker packages were created with new stationary, business cards and other materials. Branded merchandise was also created with deep discounted promotions to encourage brokers and staff across the country to wear their brand with pride!
the results:
The rebrand was a resounding success with everthing from signage, swag, print to digital updated by 60-65% of the teams within the first 6 months.
